President of Republic Lays Foundation Stone for vast Project to Supply Drinking water to 165 Localities, Irrigate 3500 Hectares

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, proceeded, on Thursday, to the laying of the foundation stone of a development project that will supply drinking water to 165 localities in the wilayas of Brakna, Tagant and Assaba, and irrigate 3500 hectares in the municipality of Aérémbar in the moughataa of Bababé in Brakna.

After laying the foundation stone, His Excellency the President of the Republic continued with a presentation outlining the components of the project, its implementation timeline, the number of villages set to benefit from it, the expected outcomes, its contribution to water services provision and agricultural development in beneficiary municipalities, the implementation timeline, and the technical procedures adhering to the specifications and controls detailed in the book of specifications. He then signaled to commence the project’s implementation.
