Holding the First Meeting to Mobilize Partners Around the National Strategy for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights

The Commissioner for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action and Relations with Civil Society, Cheikh Ahmedou Ould Ahmed Salem Ould Sidi, chaired, this morning in Nouakchott, the first meeting to share the national strategy for the promotion and protection of human rights with the agencies of the United Nations system in Mauritania , chaired by the Coordinator of the United Nations system in Mauritania, Ms. Leila Peters Yahia.

This meeting follows the approval of the strategy by the Council of Ministers on Dicember 27 last year, to mobilize technical and financial partners.
