Human Rights Commissioner Left for Geneva

The Commissioner for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action and Relations with Civil Society, Mr. Cheikh Ahmedou Ould Ahmed Salem Ould Sidi, left Nouakchott today, Tuesday, heading to Geneva to participate in the meetings of the 75th session of the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.

During these meetings, the Commissioner will present Mauritania’s second periodic report related to the implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, which will be discussed on the 13th and 14th of this month.

The Commissioner is accompanied on this travel by a joint delegation that includes representatives from various relevant sectors.
