President of the Republic of The Gambia Begins Visit to Mauritania

H.E. The Gambian President Adama Barrow and his wife arrived Monday evening in Nouakchott on a visit to Mauritania, during which he will attend the activities of the fourth edition of the African Conference on the Promotion of Peace, which will be held tomorrow at the Palais des Congrès (El-Mourabitoun).

The President of the Republic, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and the First Lady, Dr. Mariem Fadel Dah, were at the head of the Gambian guest at Nouakchott International Airport Oumtounssy  , surrounded by Prime Minister Mohamed Ould Bilal Messoud, Minister in charge of the President’s Office, Chief of Special Staff of the President of the Republic, Governor of Nouakchott West, President of the Nouakchott Region and Gambian Ambassador to Mauritania.

The Gambian president shook hands with a number of members of the government and representatives of the secretariat of the African Conference for the Promotion of Peace.

In turn, His Excellency the President of the Republic shook hands with the members of the Gambian delegation accompanying the Gambian President.

The Gambian guest was also received by a number of the Gambian community residing in Mauritania.
