Mauritania Participates in Meeting of Defense Ministers, army Commanders of Member States of the “5+5 Defense” Initiative
On Wednesday 13 December in Lisbon (Portugal), the meeting of defense ministers and commanders of the armies of the member states of the “5+5 Defense” initiative was held with the participation of a delegation from our country that includes Major General Souleiman Abouda, Secretary-General of the Ministry of National Defense representing the Minister of National Defense, Colonel Mohamed Abdullah Beyya, Director of Documentation and Military Security at the Ministry, and Colonel Engineer Osman Sweid Ahmed, responsible for the 5+5 file.
During this meeting, in which the rotating presidency of the initiative was transferred from Portugal to Spain, the 2024 Action Plan was approved, as well as the joint declaration of this meeting was updated and signed.
