President of Republic Arrives in Brussels

On 24 October, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, arrived in Brussels (Belgium), where he will participate in the Global Gateway Forum organized by the European Union.

His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani was welcomed at the airport by Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Brahim Khalil, our Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, and members of the diplomatic mission to Belgium and the European Union.

This summit will feature panel discussions on green energy, education and research, vital raw materials, transport corridors,  medicines and medical consumables protection, and digital infrastructure.

During this trip, the President of the Republic is accompanied by a large delegation including: –

Dr. Mariem Mint Dah, the First Lady;

– Mokhtar Ould Diay, the Minister in charge of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic; – Abdessalam Ould Mohamed Saleh, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development;

– Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Brahim Khlil, the Ambassador of Mauritania in Brussels;

– Sidi Mohamed Ould Ghaber, an advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Aissata Diallo, an advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;

– El Hassan Ould Ahmed, the Director General of State Protocol.
