President of Republic Receives New Iranian Ambassador’s Credentials

On 17 October, in Nouakchott, His Excellency, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheilh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received the credentials of HE Mr. Jawad Ebou, in his capacity as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

After receiving credentials, the President of the Republic granted the Iranian diplomat an audience attended by Mr. Mohamed Yahya Ould Said, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, in charge of Mauritanians abroad. In a statement to the Mauritanian news agency, the Iranian diplomat said he was honored to meet His Excellency, the President of the Republic and present his credentials to him.

He said he informed the President of the Republic of the eagerness of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to develop and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in all areas.

The diplomat stressed that he would work, in coordination with the relevant ministries and authorities in Mauritania, to strengthen relations in all areas to serve the common interests of the two brotherly people.
