Tiris-Zemmour Governor Holds Meeting with German Ambassador

The governor of Tiris- Zemmour, Mr. Isselmou Ould Sidi, held a meeting, on Tuesday, in Zoueratt, with the German ambassador, Her Excellency Mme Gabriela Guellil, who is paying a visit to the National, Industrial, and Mining Company (SNIM).

During the meeting, the governor welcomed the German diplomat, highlighting the economic importance of Tiris-Zemmour and the pioneering role played by SNIM in the economic development of the country. He pointed out that the region of Tiris-Zemmour hosts thousands of gold-panners.

He added that Mauritanians attach great importance to the bilateral relations with Germany and consider it as a particular partner in the development of the country.
On her side, the German ambassador expressed her joy at visiting Tiris-Zemmour and said that Mauritania and Germany enjoy fruitful political and economic cooperation. In this regard, she declared that German companies and SNIM are linked by partnership agreements.
