src=\"https:\/\/ami.mr\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/16-03-2023-s003-750x430.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"430\" \/>On 16 March, <\/span><\/span><span class=\"rynqvb\"><span lang=\"EN\">Mauritania received officially the certificate of obtaining Accreditation (A) of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions with the United Nations Human Rights Council<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in;line-height: 150%\"><span class=\"rynqvb\"><span lang=\"EN\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span>This status is the highest among the classifications granted by this alliance to national human rights commissions, as they are subject to a scale of three categories (A.B.C) according to the independence, credibility, and merit of each commission<span class=\"hwtze\"> <span class=\"rynqvb\"><span lang=\"EN\">and its compatibility with the Paris Principles.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in;line-height: 150%\"><span class=\"rynqvb\"><span lang=\"EN\">On behalf of Mauritania, the certificate of accreditation (A) was received by Mr. Ahmed Salem Ould Bouhoubeyni, the President of the National Human Rights Commission, at the head of a commission composed of members of the commission<\/span><\/span>,<span class=\"hwtze\"><span lang=\"EN\"> including <span class=\"rynqvb\"><span lang=\"EN\">Feity Elalem and Moulay El Hacen Soueylim, during the General Assembly of the Global Alliance of Human Rights Institutions, currently held in Geneva.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in;line-height: 150%\"><span class=\"rynqvb\"><span lang=\"EN\">This assembly brings together more than seven hundred participants, in addition to the partners of this alliance, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the United Nations Development Program.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in;line-height: 150%\"><span class=\"rynqvb\"><span lang=\"EN\">The National Human Rights Commission had obtained this accreditation at the end of 2020, but the conditions of the pandemic which suspended the convening of<\/span><\/span>the General Assembly of this global alliance have delayed the official receipt by our country of this ranking.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in;line-height: 150%\"><span class=\"rynqvb\"><span lang=\"EN\">It is noteorthy that Status (A) is a rare ranking in the sub-region.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in;line-height: 150%\"><span class=\"rynqvb\"><span style=\"color:
