The Deputy Biram Dah Abeid declared, on Friday 28\/08\/2020, his support to the \u00abunprecented historical orientation of Mauritania\u00bb, which has been in effect since august 2019. The country has never witnessed such an orientation since the overthrow of the civilian regime in 1978.
\nM. Abeid has also announced , in a communique in front of the press, that the President of the Republic has managed to introduce a social pact, based on merit, competence and equality of opportunities, far away from fake diplomas, ethinic preference and complacency\u00bb.
\n“The era of systematic confrontation seems to be over because Mauritania has been changing since the change of jun 2019” he added.
\nRegarding his meeting with the President of the Republic , M.Abeid has pointed out that the president gave him his full attention and the necessary time for a franc interaction between a President and a citizen, representative of a part of the public opinon.
\n\u00ab I would like to thank the President for his usual courtesy and his listening faculties\u00bb.
\nThe Deputy has excluded all any attempt to settle a score and expressed his confidence in the President of the Republic :
\n\u00abThe assurances of the President confirm that there will not be any settle of a score, nor complacency. Such reassurances are supported by his previous promises of separation of power, as dictated by the Constitution\u00bb.
\nHe, finally, expressed his will to participate in the political arena, abiding by the law.
