On 19 August, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, sent a message of condolence to His Excellency Mr. Abdelmajid Tebboune, the President of the People\u2019s Democratic Republic of Algeria, in which he expressed his profound sadness for the renewal of the bushfires which caused significant loss of human life and material damage.

\n\u201cExcellency and dear brother,
\nOur country follows with growing sadness and concern the information of the renewal of bushfires in some wilayas of sisterly Algeria causing significant loss of human life and material damage.
\nIn this painful circumstance, I express to you and through you to the people and the Algerian government our deep condolences and our sincere compassion, while imploring ALLAH the Almighty to have his Mercy on the disappeared, bless the injured with speedy, and grant their loved ones patience and perseverance. <\/p>\n
