The President of the Republic meets with our ambassadors to brotherly and friendly countries
\nNouakchott, 28 July 2020 (AMI) – The President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazwani held, on 28 July at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott, a meeting with the newly accredited ambassadors to some brotherly and friendly countries. At the end of the meeting, the President of the Republic gave each diplomat the letters of credence accrediting them to the Heads of State concerned.
\nDuring the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed defined, on behalf of the President of the Republic and by virtue of the powers vested in him by the constitution, and in accordance with Decree No. 391-2019 which sets the powers of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians abroad and governs the central administration of his department and in application of the provisions of the Vienna Convention of 1961 on diplomatic relations, the missions assigned to the ambassador.
\nThe meeting was attended by the director of cabinet of the President of the Republic, Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lemine and officials of the Ministry.
\nThe newly accredited ambassadors are:
\nSidi Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, the United Nations;
\nMohamed Ahmed Salem Mohamed Rar\u00e9, the United Arab Emirates;
\nAhmed Dy Mohamed Radhi, the Syrian Arab Republic;
\nAm\u00e9di Camara, Federal Republic of Nigeria;
\nKhadijetou M\u2019Bareck Fall, Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia;
\nSidiya Ould El Hadj, the United Kingdom;
