The Commissioner for Food Security, Ms. Fatimatou \u00a0Khattry, received on Wednesday at her office in Nouakchott, a mission from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), headed by Mr. Felix Fischer, Head of the Fund’s Mission to Mauritania.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, the Commissioner reviewed Mauritania’s efforts in the field of food security, and strengthening social protection for vulnerable groups, in light of the international and regional challenges weighing on the living conditions of citizens with limited income.<\/p>\n
The meeting also discussed and evaluated the performance of public policies in the social field, through the programmes and interventions implemented by the Food Security Commission.<\/p>\n
