On July 10 in Yaounde, Cameroon, Mr. Mohamed Bemba Meguett, Speaker of Mauritania’s National Assembly, called for stronger cooperation among Francophone countries during his address to the 51st Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie (APF).<\/p>\n
In his remarks, MP Meguett highlighted the Assembly’s responsibility to uphold multilateralism, strengthen solidarity across the Francophone community, and foster dialogue among peoples.<\/p>\n
He said these principles are championed by President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, who has made them a national priority through ambitious public policies to strengthen multilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n
The APF session is continuing with discussions on a wide range of political, institutional, economic, and environmental issues, as well as matters relating to parliamentary cooperation.<\/p>\n
