The Presidency of the Republic announced that, by a decree issued on Thursday, July 9, 2026, President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani has granted a presidential pardon to Ms. Gamou Achour Salem and Ms. Mariem Cheikh Dieng.<\/p>\n
The decision provides for the remission of the remaining prison sentences, as well as the cancellation of fines and judicial fees.<\/p>\n
According to the Presidency\u2019s statement, the measure reflects the President\u2019s commitment to the values of tolerance and clemency, while contributing to the consolidation of social peace and national harmony.<\/p>\n
