The Prime Minister, Mr. Mokhtar Ould Diay, received Thursday, in his office at the Prime Minister’s Official Residence, the Director-General of the African Affairs Department of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Misako Takahashi.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, both parties reviewed the various aspects of the existing cooperation between Mauritania and Japan, as well as ways to strengthen and develop it to serve the mutual interests of the two friendly nations.<\/p>\n
In a statement to the Mauritanian News Agency following the meeting, the Japanese official thanked His Excellency the Prime Minister for making the meeting possible, emphasizing that it was fruitful and constructive. She specified that the discussions focused on several issues of common interest and resulted in a mutual reaffirmation of the importance of continuing efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation and expand its horizons.<\/p>\n
Ms. Misako Takahashi highlighted that relations between Mauritania and Japan are characterized by an exceptional level of understanding and cooperation, expressing her country’s desire to evolve these relations into a broader and more diversified partnership in the future.<\/p>\n
