The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Isma\u00ebl Ould Cheikh Ahmed, addressed, on Monday, a message of condolences to His Excellency Mr. Fai\u00e7al Al-Miqdad, Syrian Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, on the occasion of the death of Mr. Walid Moallem, Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign affairs.

\n\u00ab Excellency Dr Fai\u00e7al Al-Miqdad,
\nWe have learned with sorrow and sadness the news of the passing of Walid Al-Muallem, vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
\nIt was my pleasure to have closely known the deceased and worked with him as the UN coordinator in your beautiful country. The late was known by all actors of this era for his wisdom, rich diplomatic experience, which exceeded half a century, and his dedication to his country and people’s work and service.
\nOn this sad occasion, I offer you, and through you the brotherly people of Syria, my sincere condolences and sympathy, imploring Allah, the Almighty, to grant the deceased mercy and paradise.
