{"id":3186,"date":"2021-09-15T13:23:10","date_gmt":"2021-09-15T13:23:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/192.168.64.2\/en\/index.php\/2021\/09\/15\/health-ministry-receives-new-medical-equipment-from-unicef\/"},"modified":"2021-09-15T13:23:10","modified_gmt":"2021-09-15T13:23:10","slug":"health-ministry-receives-new-medical-equipment-from-unicef","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ami.mr\/en\/archives\/3186","title":{"rendered":"Health Ministry Receives New Medical Equipment from UNICEF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Director of Epidemiological Surveillance at the Ministry of Health, Acting Director-General of Health, Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Ali Mahmoud, received Wednesday, at Nouakchott International Airport Oum-Tounsi, a medical equipment donated by the United Nations Children\u2019s Fund \u201cUNICEF\u201d to reinforce our country\u2019s efforts in the fight against the Covid 19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>This equipment, including four high cooling refrigerators, aims to support our country&#8217;s efforts to eradicate the COVID-19 Pandemic through providing vaccines and storing them at high cooling temperatures.<\/p>\n<p> Upon receiving the medical equipment, the acting director-general of health affirms that this donation will enable the country to receive vaccines that require a high cooling temperature of -70 to &#8211; 90 degrees Celsius.<\/p>\n<p>On his turn, the Head of UNICEF \u2018s Health and Nutrition Department in our country expressed his pleasure to be present alongside the Mauritanian Ministry of Health on the occasion of the reception of refrigerators for medicine storage, in preparation for the arrival of a quantity of Pfizer vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>He added that these refrigerants will play a major role in preserving this vaccine for a longer period, reiterating that his organization will continue working and cooperating with the Mauritanian ministry of health to confront the COVID-19 Pandemic.
