On 21 April in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamedou Ahmadou Mhaimid, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, received H.E. Mr. Neeraj Agrawal, the Ambassador of the Republic of India to Mauritania.<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting reviewed prospects for bilateral cooperation in agriculture and food sovereignty. The talks also explored ways to establish a joint cooperation program aligned with the agricultural sector priorities to strengthen its productive capacities.<\/span><\/p>\n

The minister emphasized the importance of India\u2019s advanced experience in agriculture, particularly in developing irrigation techniques, strengthening agricultural mechanization, improving seed quality, and expanding agricultural extension services to support efforts to modernize the sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

He also highlighted the sector\u2019s openness to various partnership opportunities, especially within the framework of public-private cooperation, enabling the implementation of structured projects with a tangible impact on the economy and development.<\/span><\/p>\n

For his part, the Indian ambassador expressed his country\u2019s full readiness to support Mauritania\u2019s agricultural sector according to its identified needs, noting the Indian investors\u2019 growing interest in the opportunities available in Mauritania\u2019s agricultural sector.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
