On March 4 in Nouakchott, Mr. Sid’Ahmed Ould Mohamed, Minister of Livestock, and Mr. Sidi Tiemoko Tour\u00e9, Minister of Animal and Fisheries Resources of C\u00f4te d’Ivoire, signed a cooperation agreement between the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Republic of C\u00f4te d’Ivoire in the field of livestock.<\/p>\n
The agreement aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the livestock sector by organizing and developing the export of Mauritanian livestock to the Ivorian market, particularly to meet the growing demand, especially during the Eid al-Adha season.<\/p>\n
The agreement also provides for coordination of efforts in the areas of animal health, harmonization of veterinary procedures and certificates, regulation of financing and transport mechanisms, and encouragement of investment in meat processing and the promotion of animal products.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, both parties emphasized the desire of the leaders of the two countries, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and His Excellency Mr. Alassane Ouattara, to strengthen cooperation and partnership between the two brotherly countries, in the service of common interests and support for regional economic integration.<\/p>\n
