His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh EL Ghazouani, today Tuesday in the city of Bogh\u00e9 in the Wilaya og Brakna, oversaw the inauguration of the rehabilitation of the Bogh\u00e9- Kaedi road section.<\/p>\n
The cost of rehabilitating this section amounted to 852,838,262.9 Ouguiya, with a length of 100 km and a width of 9 meters, while the time required for its completion was 30 months.<\/p>\n
The rehabilitation of the Bogh\u00e9 \u2013 Ka\u00e9di road is part of a major project launched by His Excellency the President of the Republic in late 2022. This initiative aims to rehabilitate hundreds of kilometers of the national road network to enhance traffic flow and safety measures. It includes several key sections: Aleg \u2013 Magta Lahjar, Djouk \u2013 Kiffa, Tintane \u2013 Aioun, Aioun \u2013 Aoueinat Zbil, Aoueinat Zbil \u2013 Timbedra, and Timbedra \u2013 N\u00e9ma.<\/p>\n
During the occasion, the Minister of Equipment and Transport, Mr. Ely Ould El Veirik, explained that the distribution of development projects since 2019 has been characterized by inclusivity and equity. He noted that work has been undertaken to complete more than 3,000 km of roads\u2014including both new construction and reconstruction\u2014with work sites distributed across the entire national territory.<\/p>\n
The Minister added that the reconstruction of the Bogh\u00e9 \u2013 Ka\u00e9di road, which cost 853 million MRU funded by the State Treasury, was executed as part of a massive and unprecedented program to rebuild and rehabilitate the national road network.<\/p>\n
