The closing ceremony of the 2025 National Week of Culture and Arts, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Arts, Communication, and Relations with Parliament under the theme “Your Holiday, Your Culture and Tourism,” was held on Thursday evening at Dar Al-Naeem in the Wilaya of Nouakchott North.<\/p>\n
The closing event included poetry readings in classical Arabic and popular poetry, as well as in national languages, along with praise performances, theater presentations, and folk dance performances.<\/p>\n
The ceremony also witnessed the distribution of awards to the winners of competitions in: the Holy Quran, the Prophet’s praise, classical and popular poetry, plastic arts, theater, as well as folk folklore.<\/p>\n
In a speech on the occasion, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Culture, Arts, Communication, and Relations with the Parliament, Mr. Sidi Mohamed Jiddou Khatri, explained that the National Week of Culture and Arts embodies the essence of authenticity and the brilliance of the present, through its activities which included religious praises, intellectual seminars, and artistic meetings reflecting the aspirations of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, aimed at preserving the national heritage.<\/p>\n
He emphasized that this station does not represent the end of the journey, but rather the culmination of a journey filled with interaction and enlightenment, aiming to make culture a daily practice that reflects loyalty to the civilizational heritage and national history, which deserves to be celebrated on various occasions and cultural events.<\/p>\n
