Zouerate 2 November 2020 (AMI) – The President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, supervised, Monday in Zouerate, the inauguration of new iron ore processing facilities at TO14 mine of the National Industrial and Mining Company (SNIM).
\nOn his arrival at TO14, the President of the Republic was received by the Minister of Oil, Energy and Mines, Mr. Abdessalam Ould Mohamed Saleh, and the Managing Director of SNIM, Mr. El Mokhtar Ould Djay.
\nMr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani then cut the symbolic ribbon and unveiled the commemorative plaque to mark the start of the operation of the new facilities.
\nThe President of the Republic listened to explanations on the components of the new facilities and their role in improving the production and profitability of the mining campany.
\nSubsequently, he oversaw the distribution of 600 plots for the benefit of the workers of the company.
\nSpeaking on the occasion, the Minister of Oil, Energy and Mines welcomed the climate of consensus, civil peace and consultation which prevails in the country thanks to the will of His Excellency the President of the Republic , Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.
\nHe stressed that the new iron ore processing facilities at SNIM’s TO14 mine are part of the company’s strategic program making increasing production capacity one of its priorities.
\nHe added that the new achiement is financed from the company’s own funds, specifying that the cost of its realization amounts to 56 million euros.
\nMr. Abdessalam Ould Mohamed Saleh indicated that the new facilities will allow the company to increase its production of iron ore by two million tons per year.
\nIt should be noted that in addition to the increase in the production capacity of iron ore, the new facilities will also make it possible to separate the extraction of the ore from the processing facilities by creating a storage space for the products of the facility. before they are loaded on to wagons, thereby controlling the quality of the products.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
