{"id":25500,"date":"2025-07-17T13:05:02","date_gmt":"2025-07-17T13:05:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ami.mr\/en\/?p=25500"},"modified":"2025-07-17T13:05:02","modified_gmt":"2025-07-17T13:05:02","slug":"training-day-on-womens-entrepreneurship-and-the-development-of-production-factors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ami.mr\/en\/archives\/25500","title":{"rendered":"Training Day on Women&#8217;s Entrepreneurship and the Development of Production Factors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry of Digital Transformation and Modernization of Administration organized a training day on Thursday in Nouakchott on entrepreneurship and the development of production factors in the agricultural, craft, and fishing sectors, as well as the potential for taking advantage of the opportunities offered by e-commerce and facilitating access to basic services remotely.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative aims to train 50 women in e-commerce management, provide them with connected smartphones, raise their awareness of the basics of cybersecurity, and enable them to market their agricultural, artisanal, and fishery products online.<\/p>\n<p>This training embodies a shared commitment to women&#8217;s economic empowerment and digital inclusion, providing them with tangible means to overcome traditional barriers and access new opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>The Secretary General of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Modernization of Administration, Mr. Khaled Abdeen Sidi, explained that this project comes as a translation of the noble directives of H.E. President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and embodies the government&#8217;s commitment to adopt effective policies that promote the economic empowerment of women, in recognition of the pivotal role they play in the process of comprehensive and sustainable national development.<\/p>\n<p>He added that this course represents a strategic opportunity to enhance the digital capabilities of fifty Mauritanian women and provide them with an in-depth understanding of the e-commerce system, with the aim of developing an effective digital presence that contributes to expanding the marketing of their products and services at the national and international levels.<\/p>\n<p>He said that digitization is no longer an option, but rather a vital pillar of economic empowerment, especially for women, whose empowerment through modern tools and digital commerce skills has become indispensable in light of the rapid changes taking place in the global economy.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the sector continues to work in coordination with the Mauritanian Council of Businesswomen to develop an innovative digital platform that allows women to access a wide customer base, thereby strengthening the role of women as active economic partners and contributing to supporting a comprehensive process.<\/p>\n<p>He praised the efforts of the United Nations Development Programme for its unwavering commitment to achieving sustainable development and establishing the principles of justice and equality through this constructive partnership. He also thanked the Mauritanian Council of Businesswomen for its ongoing efforts to support women entrepreneurs and promote a business environment based on women&#8217;s empowerment and equal opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>For her part, the President of the Mauritanian Council of Businesswomen, Ms. Fatima Bint Al-Fil, said that this activity means a lot to them, as they consider it a digital launchpad for their commercial activities throughout the country through this training, which will enable women to access the digital marketing sector, display their products, and communicate with customers remotely.<\/p>\n<p>She noted that policies aimed at raising the level of economic empowerment for women come in response to the call of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, in his ambitious program, \u201cMy Ambition for the Nation.\u201d adding that the government&#8217;s decision to allocate funds for women&#8217;s economic empowerment was extremely important as it will enable women to enter productive sectors and support women in the field of digitalization through training and program development.<\/p>\n<p>on her part, Ms. Adama Coulibaly, Deputy Representative of the United Nations Development Programme, said that this training day represents an important step towards a more equitable and inclusive growth model by focusing on strengthening digital skills and encouraging innovation.<\/p>\n<p>She added that e-commerce is an effective lever for economic inclusion, enabling women entrepreneurs to overcome traditional barriers and access new markets, including international markets.
