Mauritania has made qualitative and tangible steps towards strengthening the governance of the education sector through an ambitious vision that makes free and quality education the cornerstone of any sustainable development project, said Dr. Houda Babbah, Minister of Education and Reform of the Education System, during her participation in the opening session of the Global Education Forum in Britain.<\/p>\n
During her participation in the opening session of the Global Education Forum in Britain, the Minister added that recent reforms have adopted innovative approaches aimed at raising the quality of education and enhancing the skills of Mauritanian children.<\/p>\n
The Minister noted that modular lessons that focus on the development of basic skills in reading, writing and arithmetic have been proven by studies to form a solid base that enables learners to overcome challenges they may face in other subjects and contribute to the improvement of their entire academic career.<\/p>\n
She highlighted the launch of a new mechanism for the continuous training of teachers, based on a hybrid digital platform that links training and career progression, ensuring effective professional development that meets the requirements of the evolving educational reality.<\/p>\n
The Minister highlighted the progress made in digitizing and analyzing educational data through the \u201cSiraj\u201d information system, which has become a strategic tool that enables robust educational planning based on accurate data, enhancing the ability to make decisions and direct educational policies effectively and transparently.<\/p>\n
