The First Lady Dr. Mariam Dah presided over Saturday at the Olympic Stadium in Nouakchott, the commemoration of International Women’s Day, organised under the theme \u2018Empowerment of women and girls is a safe tool for development\u2019, at the Olympic Stadium in Nouakchott.
\nThe ceremony included the honouring of some women, in recognition of their efforts in the economic, security and development fields, and the screening of a documentary film on the gains achieved by women during the presidency of HE President of the Republic Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani.
\nThe ceremony also featured a lecture on the role of women in Islam, as well as praise performances.
