On Tuesday at the Ministry’s premises, the Minister of Hydraulics and Sanitation, Ms. Amal Maouloud, held talks with the Japanese Ambassador to Mauritania, Mr. Uchida Tatsukonifi, who was accompanied by a delegation from the CFAO Group, a subsidiary of the Japanese company Toyota.<\/p>\n
The meeting is part of the sector’s efforts to enhance and diversify the sources of potable water production across the country.<\/p>\n
The meeting was devoted to discussing the progress of the feasibility study being conducted by the CFAO Group to establish a seawater desalination plant in Nouadhibou with a capacity of 50,000 cubic metres per day, within the framework of Mauritanian-Japanese cooperation.<\/p>\n
