{"id":21711,"date":"2025-01-06T11:10:44","date_gmt":"2025-01-06T11:10:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ami.mr\/en\/?p=21711"},"modified":"2025-01-06T12:13:24","modified_gmt":"2025-01-06T12:13:24","slug":"title-mauritanian-diplomacy-between-achievements-and-challenges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ami.mr\/en\/archives\/21711","title":{"rendered":"Organizing a Scientific Symposium Entitled &#8220;Mauritanian Diplomacy Between Achievements and Challenges&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On the occasion of its second anniversary, the Mauritanian Club of Communities organised a scientific symposium entitled &#8220;Mauritanian diplomacy between achievements and challenges&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>By organizing this event, the club seeks to build bridges of communication, integration and unity between the people of the country abroad on the one hand, and between them and the various official authorities on the other hand, and to strive hard to solve all the problems posed to the expatriates, so that they can play their pivotal and pioneering role in the development of the country and benefit from their expertise in various fields.<\/p>\n<p>In a speech on the occasion, the club&#8217;s president, Mrs. Arbiya Mint Sidi Brahim, explained that two years ago, a group of Mauritanian expatriates decided to form an inclusive framework aimed at enhancing communication between expatriates and various official bodies, and serves as a complement to the role of the authorities in following up on the issues and concerns of the communities. She pointed out that its establishment came to bring together Mauritanians of different affiliations and political orientations, with a commitment to establish an institutional work approved by the custodian and relevant authorities.<\/p>\n<p>She pointed to the need to strengthen the cultural role of Mauritanians abroad by establishing cultural centers in countries that host large Mauritanian communities, so that Mauritanian culture remains a beacon of knowledge and wisdom<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-21714 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/ami.mr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/IMG_4409-1-300x200Mauritanian-Diplomacy-Ousmane-Mamadou-Ba.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>For his part, the club&#8217;s representative in Europe, Mr. Ba Mamadou Ousmane, called for providing mechanisms to motivate expatriates and put local investments in their right place, and create an attractive environment that encourages them to participate meaningfully and effectively to contribute to the growth of the country.<\/p>\n<p>He pointed to the important role played by Mauritanian communities abroad in terms of the country&#8217;s economic activity, and benefiting from the experiences gained by expatriates in all fields, calling for the development of digital infrastructure, to facilitate reliable access to the Internet, to support remote work and attract international investors interested in this field.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Hammadi Ould Hammadi, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, highlighted the importance and role of expatriate communities, noting what they have done to serve the country, especially in the diplomatic field.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past years, Mauritanian communities abroad have been keen on proper representation of the country, he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the occasion of its second anniversary, the Mauritanian Club of Communities organised a scientific symposium entitled &#8220;Mauritanian diplomacy between achievements and challenges&#8221;.
