The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, laid Thursday the foundation stone of two bridges in Nouakchott and inaugurated the road network that was carried out in the city in the past year. His Excellency also launched the works of road construction projects in the city.<\/p>\n
The President of the Republic received comprehensive explanations about the construction projects, their technical characteristics, and deadlines for accomplishment. He was also briefed on the funds allocated for these projects.<\/p>\n
These projects include a bridge at the crossroads of El Hay Essaken in the district of Dar Naim, with a cost of 155.195.001 MRU; the construction works will take 24months. There is also a second bridge in the Riyadh district, which costs 1.7258.9798 MRU; the construction works will take 24 months.<\/p>\n
The length of the Urban network that was built in Nouakchott in 2020 is 40Km. It encompassed 19 sectors, with a financial cost of 523045895 MRU. The new urban network project is 47 KM in length; it will cost 527.641.900 MRU.<\/p>\n
The Mayor of Riyadh, Mr. Abdallahi Mohamedou Idriss, hailed this achievement which, according to him, will open up the city of Riyadh and make it a linking area that facilitates the flow of traffic.<\/p>\n
