The Minister of Economy and Finance Sid\u2019Ahmed Ould Bouh participated in the opening of the African Finance Summit (AFIS-2024) in Casablanca, Morocco on Monday.<\/p>\n
This year’s summit addresses five key priorities to promote the necessary economic transformations, namely the creation of banking products and capital market solutions to channel domestic resources into productive investments<\/p>\n
to stimulate growth and development, facilitate the interoperability of performance systems, reduce the cost and time of cross-border transactions, allow for the development of intra-African trade, strengthen the capital requirements of financial institutions, promote industry and encourage partnerships with international financial centers.<\/p>\n

Launched by Jeune Afrique Media Group and supported by the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC), more than 1,000 African financial sector leaders and policymakers will participate in the summit<\/p>\n
More than 30 high-level panel discussions and roundtables will focus on the structural reforms needed to strengthen the sector’s resilience and remove obstacles to financing the continent’s economies at a time of regional and international turmoil.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
