The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, received, Thursday evening at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott, the Director General of the Arab Organization for Education, Culture, and Sciences (ALECSO), Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, currently visiting Mauritania. <\/p>\n
The meeting focused on the cooperation relations existing between Mauritania and ALECSO, and ways and means to further develop them. <\/p>\n
During the meeting, the President of the Republic received from the hands of the ALECSO boss the memorial shield of the organization. <\/p>\n
Shortly after the meeting, Mr. Mohamed Ould Amar made a statement to the Mauritanian news agency (AMI) in which he said he was very honored to be received by the President of the Republic to whom he made a presentation on the efforts of the Arab Organization for Education, Culture, and Sciences, its action plans for the period 2023-2028, and the preparation of its ministerial conference. <\/p>\n
Mr. Mohamed Ould Amar added that the meeting enabled him to brief the President of the Republic on the efforts of the organization and the assistance it is providing to countries in need at this crucial time. <\/p>\n
As for Mauritania, ALECSO Director General said that his organization has recently distributed a thousand computer units to Mauritanian students. <\/p>\n
\u201cDuring the meeting, I carefully followed the guidelines of the President of the Republic, who called for making the Mauritanian term at the head of ALECSO a term of unanimity, consensus, and exceptional and efficient work\u201d, as ALECSO director concluded. <\/p>\n
