On 2 and 3 October, Ms. Messouda Baham Mohamed Laghdaf, the Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, represented Mauritania at the 10th Summit of the World Green Economy Organization (WGEO) in Dubai.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, the Minister took part in a high-level ministerial round table, where she shared Mauritania’s experience in mitigating the effects of climate change and promoting the green economy.<\/p>\n
In her speech, Ms. Messouda Baham Mohamed Laghdaf highlighted Mauritania\u2019s vulnerability to the impacts of climate change, including desertification and rising sea levels.
