Following the death of the Emir of Koweit, his Highness Cheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, addressed the following message of condolences to his Highness Cheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Sabah:
\n\u2018\u2019We have learnt with emotion and sorrow the news of the death of Cheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, the Emir of koweit, may Allah bless him with paradise.
\nAt this painful occasion, I express, on behalf of myself, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and its people, to you our sincere condolences for such a big loss to the State of Koweit, its brotherly people, and the Arabic and Islamic Ouma. We implore Allah, the most powerful, to surround the deceased with mercy, to keep Koweit safe and grant it with further prosperity and happiness.
\nAfter the loss of cheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, we bid farewell to an exceptional leader, umatched visionary, a man of integrity and probity, wise, and peacemaker, who were profoundly attached to the unity and the constants of the Arabic and Islamic Ouma.
\nHe had a privileged place in the spirits of Mauritanians that saw in him a symbol of nobility, love, and esteem.
