His Excellency, the President of the Republic, President-elect Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, received, on Wednesday, a cable of congratulations from His Excellency Mr. Kais Saied, President of the Republic of Tunisia, on the occasion of his re-election as President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania for a new mission.
\nThe telegram reads as follows:
\n“Your Excellency the President and dear brother,
\nOn the occasion of your re-election as President of the sisterly Islamic Republic of Mauritania, I am pleased to extend to you, on my own behalf and on behalf of the Tunisian people, my sincere congratulations and best wishes for good health and happiness, wishing you success in the performance of your high duties.
\nI take this opportunity to express my deep satisfaction at the level of sincere fraternal ties and the strong relations of cooperation and fruitful exchange that exist between our two countries in several fields at the bilateral level or within various regional and international frameworks. I am also convinced that your re-election to the presidency of your country will make it possible to consolidate the year of consultation and coordination between us and to continue to work together to strengthen and diversify the historical ties between our two countries and to establish an effective and diversified partnership for the benefit and common interest of our two brotherly peoples.
