On 22 June, Mr. El Id Mohameden M’Bareck, the candidate for the 2024 presidential elections, affirmed that his electoral program responds to the needs, aspirations, and hopes of the people, indicating that \u201chis candidacy for the presidential elections does not aim to obtain a function but that his objective is to reform Mauritania which is affected, he said, by\u00a0 \u201cthe whims of executives indulging in mismanagement\u201d.<\/p>\n
In an electoral meeting that he chaired, in the Moughataa of Maghtaa Lahjar (Wilaya of Brakna), he added that the people are today masters of their decision and that they have the last word in the choice of who they consider appropriate to the post of President of the Republic.<\/p>\n
He noted that elections and propaganda campaigns are not simply artistic evenings but they aim to present and explain the contents of electoral programs, stressing that the whole country suffers from a lack of services essential for life.<\/p>\n
The candidate pledged to lower the prices of food products and unify their prices in all corners of the country, stressing that he would put an end to \u201cEmel\u201d stores.<\/p>\n
He also committed to devoting 30% of the state budget to support the education sector and 20% to the health sector.<\/p>\n
He also indicated that he would defend the interests of the people, particularly those of young people and women who are the main force of the country, provide them with employment opportunities, and eradicate unemployment, which will be, he said, one of his priorities.<\/p>\n
