The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Abdessalam Ould Mohamed Saleh, held on Tuesday in Nairobi a working session with Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank Group.
\nThe meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the African Development Bank Group, dealt with various files of distinguished joint cooperation between our country and this African financial body and ways to enhance it through financing structural development projects, especially in infrastructure such as roads and energy.
\nDuring the meeting, they valued the project of the high-voltage electric line Nouakchott-Nema, the link with the Republic of Mali and its importance in linking the electricity system of the Senegal River Organization, as well as the Africa system in general, which is estimated to cost about 900 million US dollars, in which the African Bank contributes the largest financing rate, about 30% of the total financing.
\nReference was also made to the Rosso Bridge project and discussed accelerating its implementation and completing its connection to the road system, and in this context the structural program project, the Nouadhibou-Nouakchott-Rosso highway and its economic hub, and its first phase consists of the rehabilitation of the current road.
\nThe two sides also reviewed the possibility of increasing the mobilization of investments in cooperation with Africa50 through public-private partnership projects, and in this regard discussed the file of the deep-water port in the Nouadhibou Free Zone.
\nOn the other hand, the two parties discussed the agenda of the Mauritanian presidency of the African Union, the African Bank’s support for the roadmap for the Mauritanian presidency of the African Union and the proposed development and human capital strategy for the African continent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
