On 7 May, on the sidelines of the US-Africa Economic Partnership Summit, held in Dallas, in the United States, the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Messoud, received Ms. Alice Albright, the CEO of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and his deputy, Ms. Alicia Phillip Mandeville, in the presence of Mr. Richard Nelson, Power Africa Project Coordinator. The meeting provided an opportunity to review and discuss the opportunities and challenges of economic development in Mauritania and the best ways to benefit from the MCC programs and similar programs launched by the US administration, such as the PoA and those targeting the private sector.<\/p>\n
