Prime Minister Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal chaired, Friday in Nouakchott, a meeting of the inter-ministerial committee responsible for monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic, in application of the directives of the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani <\/p>\n
The meeting was devoted to reviewing the epidemiological situation in the country and the status of vaccination. The committee noted, in view of the available health indicators, that the epidemiological situation in the country is continuously stabilizing by the grace of Allah, unlike what is happening in several other countries. <\/p>\n
Based on this observation, the committee recommends continuing to respect the preventive measures in parallel with vaccination to strengthen the latter’s effectiveness, especially among the fringes at risk and people engaged in missions that put them in contact with citizens. <\/p>\n
The committee noted with satisfaction the launch of the vaccination on 26 March 2021 against COVID-19, and welcomed the measures taken to ensure the acquisition of more vaccines to cover our needs in this area as soon as possible. <\/p>\n
She called for a wide awareness-raising campaign on the importance of vaccination to protect the individual against the attacks if not against the complications of diseases caused by this virus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
