His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, received today, Thursday morning, at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott, the credentials of His Exellency Sabri Chaabane, in his capacity as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tunisia to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.<\/p>\n
The President of the Republic subsequently granted the Tunisian diplomat an audience in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians abroad, Mr. Isma\u00ebl Ould Cheikh Ahmed.<\/p>\n
At the end of the meeting, the new Tunisian ambassador made a statement to the Mauritanian News Agency, in which he declared: \u201cI had the honor to present my credentials to His Excellency on President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, in my capacity as Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to the sister Islamic Republic of Mauritania. <\/p>\n
I conveyed to His Excellency the greetings of his brother, Professor Ka\u00efs Sa\u00efed, President of the Republic of Tunisia, the feelings of affection he has for his respected person, and his wishes for good health and happiness for him- even, stability, progress and prosperity for the brotherly Mauritanian people.<\/p>\n
The Tunisian diplomat told the Head of State of his willingness to work to strengthen the ties of brotherhood that unite the two countries, stressing the strength of the historical ties, brotherhood and kinship between the two peoples.<\/p>\n
I also expressed to His Excellency the President, he continued, my determination to spare no effort to take advantage of all available opportunities to elevate these relations to the highest level and open up wider horizons for fruitful partnership and cooperation.<\/p>\n
I conveyed to His Excellency, he said finally, the desire of the President of Tunisia to see him participate in the international events that Tunisia will host in the coming months, in particular the Francophonie summit in November 2021 and the eighth session of the Tokyo-Tunis 2022 International Conference.<\/p>\n
The credentials ceremony took place in the presence of the following personalities :
