The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Gazouani, received today, Thursday morning, at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott, the credentials of His Excellency Mr. Li Baijun, as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People\u2019s Republic of China to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.<\/p>\n
After the presentation of credentials, the President of the republic held a meeting with the Chinese diplomat in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Ismael Ould Cheikh Ahmed.<\/p>\n
After the meeting, the Ambassador made the following statement to the Mauritanian News Agency:<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019 I’m really honored to be appointed as the Chinese ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. I know it is a great responsibility, So I will definitely try all my best, working with my team and our Mauritanian counterpart, to get it done all the best.<\/p>\n
The two countries have enjoyed traditionally good, stably, and healthy relationships.<\/p>\n
I’m quite sure that under the leadership of President Ghazouani and also our President xi Junping the relationships will be promoted further to get further progress.<\/p>\n
I will definitely try hard to do my best to fulfill my responsibility.<\/p>\n
