The Council of Ministers met today, Wednesday, March 27, 2024, under the chairmanship of His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Republic.<\/p>\n
The Council has studied and approved the following draft decrees:<\/p>\n
\u2013 Draft decree approving a founding agreement between the Government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and Fasq Sarl<\/p>\n
The draft decree aims to enable Fasq Sarl to create a tourist complex on the edge of the Nouakchott beach, which will contribute to improving the delivery of services in the city’s hotel and tourism sector. It will include 40 high-end suites, 120 rooms, 40 modern tents, 4 large restaurants, 4 swimming pools for adults and children, two play parks, a football pitch and one handball court.<\/p>\n
Moreover, this project, which is fully in line with the National Tourism Strategy 2018-2030 and has a total cost of 760 million ouguiyas, will allow the creation of 50 direct jobs and 57 indirect jobs, in addition to ensuring capacity building for Mauritanian cadres to be subscribed.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Draft decree ratifying a founding agreement between the Government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and Al Dhafra pour l’Investissement SARL<\/p>\n

The draft decree aims to enable Al Dhafra pour l’Investissement \u2013SARL to create a tourist complex on the edge of the Nouakchott beach. The project will improve the range of services available in the city’s hotel and tourism sector, and will include an amusement park, a water park, two restaurants and bungalow-style accommodation.<\/p>\n

This project, which is fully in line with the National Tourism Strategy 2018-2030 and has a total cost of 111,700,000 ounces, will enable the creation of 65 direct jobs and 100 indirect jobs, in addition to ensuring the strengthening of the capacities of Mauritanian cadres to be subscribed.<\/p>\n
The Minister of Justice made a statement regarding the National Action Plan to Combat Trafficking in Persons (2024-2026).<\/p>\n

This statement aims to inform the government of the importance of the National Action Plan to Combat Trafficking in Persons 2024-2026, which constitutes an integrated planning mechanism that allows Mauritania to fight this scourge effectively and sustainably, suppress perpetrators of crimes, and identify, protect and assist witnesses.<\/p>\n
The Minister of Petroleum, Mines and Energy submitted a statement regarding the licensing of the exploration and production contract with a consortium of Arab energy companies and Go Gas on the Banda Taft section.<\/p>\n

This statement informs the Government of the importance of this contract, which, in accordance with the promotion policy adopted, aims to accelerate the pace of exploration and exploitation activities in the coastal basin. It was also recalled that the development of Panda requires the conclusion of this contract in accordance with the provisions of the Crude Hydrocarbons Code, and that negotiations with the consortium resulted in the determination of the technical, economic and financial conditions for the production contract on the basin.<\/p>\n
The Minister of Culture, Youth, Sports and Relations with Parliament presented a statement regarding the National Youth Strategy 2024.<\/p>\n
