On 16 January, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received a delegation from the World Bank, led by Mr. Ousmane Diagana, the Vice President of the Bank for West and Central Africa.<\/p>\n
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the areas of cooperation between Mauritania and this international financial institution and the means to strengthen and develop it to serve the economic development of our country.<\/p>\n
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Diagana made a statement in which he said he was honored by the audience granted to him by His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, which was an opportunity to assess the partnership between Mauritania and the World Bank.<\/p>\n
He explained that this partnership dates back to 1964 and that during that period, World Bank financing included development sectors such as agriculture, energy, and human development, among others.<\/p>\n
The World Bank Vice President for West and Central Africa added that the meeting with His Excellency the President of the Republic was an opportunity to discuss Mauritania’s agenda in terms of economic and social development, which is reinforced by the enormous capabilities available to Mauritania, which requires financial and technical support from the World Bank Group.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
