Signing of memorandum of understanding for improvement of education in Mauritania

The Minister of Economic Affairs and Promotion of Productive Sectors, Mr. Ousmane Mamoudou Kane, the US Ambassador, H.E. Ms. Cynthia Kierscht, and Gwendolyn Apple, Vice-president of Counterpart International, signed a memorandum of understanding for the implementation of the Mc Govern-Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition program.

This program, with a budget of twenty-eight million five hundred thousand US dollars, approximately one billion ouyguiya MRU, targets 320 schools in the wilayas of Brakna, Gorgol and Tagant. It aims to It aims to support the efforts of the Ministry of National Education.
