Minister of Culture Meets National Football Team

The Minister of Culture, Youth, Sports and Relations with Parliament, government spokesperson, Mr. Moctar Ould Dahy met, Thursday 02 September in Nouakchott, the national team “Les Mourabitounes”. During the meeting, he expressed his moral support and support to the players ahead of the opening match between them and Zambia at the Nouakchott Olympic Stadium on Friday in the World Cup qualifiers.
The Minister conveyed to the players the greetings of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mohammed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani and all members of the government as well as their wish to see them win the next match. He said that the President of the Republic pays particular attention to youth, sport and more particularly football and the national team.
Mr. Moctar Ould Dahy stressed that tomorrow’s match is very important because it is part of the World Cup qualifiers, stressing that all Mauritanians are counting on the national team to win the game.
The minister finally assured that his department will spare no effort to put the national team in the conditions allowing it to record consistently positive results.
For his part, the president of the Mauritanian football federation, Mr. Ahmedou Ould Yahya thanked, on behalf of the Mauritanian football family, the Minister of Culture, Youth, Sports and Relations with Parliament, spokesperson of the government, for the importance given to the national team and the good condition provided to it.
