National Defense Minister Returns to Nouakchott

The Minister of National Defense, Mr. Hanana Ould Sidi, returned to Nouakchott Thursday 02 September 2021 from Niger, after he participated in the work of the emergency session of the defense ministers of the G5 countries in the Sahel, which was hosted by the capital of Niger, Niamey.
During two days the ministers of defense reviewed developments in the security situation and redefined proper strategic measures for future role of the armed forces in these countries and the joint force of the Group of Five in the Sahel, as well as the partner forces.
The Minister was accompanied on this trip by the Assistant Commander of the General Staff of the armies.
