On 23 September, Foreign Minister Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug attended the opening of the 80th UN General Assembly in New York. This year’s agenda, themed “Better together: 80 years and more for peace, development and human rights”, calls for collaboration on key global issues and includes high-level meetings—such as pivotal discussions on the Palestinian issue.
