Mauritania participates in the High-level International Conference on the Peaceful Resolution of the Palestinian Issue and Achieving a Two-state Solution.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, participated today, Monday, at the United Nations headquarters in New York in the high-level international conference on the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and achieving the two-state solution.The conference is held under the presidency of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic, with the participation of heads of state and government, against the backdrop of several countries, including France, announcing their recognition of the State of Palestine, with more countries taking the same step during the conference.The conference aims to reaffirm international consensus on the peaceful settlement of the issue and to stimulate decisive, coordinated, and time-bound international action towards implementing the two-state solution.
