The Mauritanian Journalists Syndicate, in partnership with the National Syndicate of Moroccan Journalists, organized a scientific symposium on artificial intelligence (AI) in Nouakchott on Friday evening.
The seminar focused on the importance of artificial intelligence in developing media production and ways to use its services in a way that enriches this production while maintaining the human fingerprint in it, in addition to highlighting what artificial intelligence is and the issues it raises.
The symposium served as an introduction to a training course that will give 30 journalists the opportunity to consult, coordinate and exchange ideas and perceptions on ways to manage and use AI effectively and rationally.
In a speech on the occasion, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture, Arts, Communication and Relations with Parliament, Sayed Mohamed Jeddou Khatri, highlighted the importance of this seminar and the training course, noting that artificial intelligence has changed the contours of human life and contributed to accelerating the pace of scientific and technical progress in various fields.
