Economy Minister, Central Bank Governor Participate in G-20 Finance Ministers, Central Bank Governors’ Meetings
Mr. Abdessalam Ould Mohamed Saleh, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, and Mr. Mohamed Lemine Dhehbi, the Governor of the Central Bank of Mauritania, participated in the meetings of finance ministers and central bank governors of the G-20, which were held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 25 and 26 July, under the theme “Building a just and sustainable world”.
Our country is participating in this summit in its capacity as head of the African Union delegation to the summit, with His Excellency the President of the Republic holding the rotating presidency of the African Union.
The summit is expected to address various issues relating to sustainable economic development and challenges facing countries across the world.
The sessions of these meetings will discuss several topics, including the Global Economic Outlook and persistent challenges, financial sector issues and financial inclusion, the global tax ecosystem, the need for resource mobilization and financing for climate and sustainable development goals, development financing through the linkages between debt and capital flows, and the reform of multilateral development banks.
