Workshop on the Determined Nationally Contribution to Climate Change (NDC) 2021-2030

Nouakchott

A national workshop to endorse the comprehensive action plan for the implementation of the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) on climate change, organized by the Ministry of Environment in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), opened Tuesday in Nouakchott.

The workshop, which brings together the concerned public sectors and civil society, aims to enrich the drafting document of the comprehensive action plan for the implementation of the contribution 2021/2030 in order to scrutinize and validate it from a technical point of view to reduce emissions and adapt to the negative effects of climate change.

Under the plan, countries will set their nationally determined contributions (INDCs) targets to mitigate emissions that cause climate change to adapt to its impacts and how to reache targets on the development of systems to monitor and verify progress.
